Aren’t these little green guys adorable? I’m sure they will be even better when dressed with a little bacon. 🙂
Today I’m trying a Rachel Ray recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/brussels-sprouts-with-bacon-recipe/index.html
It’s perfect for Thanksgiving and these “baby cabbage” looking things pack in some amazing health properties such as cancer reducing components and a high dose of much needed fiber. Of course the bacon does not have these lovely qualities, but I couldn’t resist. 🙂
Enjoy the sprouts slightly undercooked to done, but don’t overcook or they tend to give off that sulfur smell and you lose a lot of the nutritional value.
Love brussle sprouts and we eat them several ways but with bacon and onion is one of our family favorites… we did have some for thanksgiving but steamed with garlic butter… thanks for reminding us what wonders they really are
You’re welcome! Glad you love them, too!
