After 30 homemade tubes of lip balm and 36 bars of handmade soaps, today’s project isn’t so much a project as a tip on how to make pretty gift packaging with what you have! We used a bunch of old scrapbook paper to dress these bars of soap up along with a string of raffia.
I love the natural look and it’s so much cuter than all the pre-made things you can buy at the craft stores. Not to mention you’re recycling what you already have.
Other things you can recycle are leftover craft sprays; we used a large ornamental leaf spray and cut it into small “sprigs” for the bars of soap to dress them up. We also used plain cellophane bags and tied neatly with raffia. You could also use ziplock bags in a pinch if you cut off the top into a neat and clean line.
We’re on the countdown now to the Open House so you will be getting more projects like this I imagine in the coming days. But I promise I’ll try not to repeat my projects! 🙂
They look amazing 😀
Thank you!
