Day 272 – to all the mermaids

I hope you enjoy this little project today as much as I do. It may not look like much, but I took a huge clamshell that I found on the beach this week and painted it with a lovely wash of pearlescent acrylic white paint and glow in the dark glitter glue. I then wrote my message, painted another glitter wash and coated with a clear coat of acrylic seal/gloss. I love how it turned out! It’s perfect for my rings or jewelry on the nightstand. I figured every good mermaid should have a shell to contain their jewels. I’m actually giving it to a special mermaid whom I hope will love it as much as I do. 🙂
