Whomever guesses what the close up photo is, wins! I’m not sure what, but you win. 🙂
What does a girl do when she has a sweet craving, leftover chex cereal, chocolate and peanut butter? Anything a normal person would do; make Puppy Chow! Also known as Muddy Buddies, this sweet treat is one of the simplest and satisfying snacks out there. It makes a great gift at Christmas in cute, decorated bags or it could be featured at the center of your Halloween potluck! Just try to restrain yourself – simply because it has cereal in it does not make it a health food. 🙂 Did I mention it’s gluten free?
**Sorry, I totally assumed everyone knew the recipe!
Here is what I followed:
8 cups rice/corn chex
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
1/2-1 cup powdered sugar
Mix the chips and peanut butter over low in a pan. When melted, add the chex. Stir well. Then if you have a big enough plastic bag, pour the sugar in there and add the mix. This seems to be the best way to cover all the chex pieces with the sugar. Otherwise, you can pour on a little at a time into the mixture, ensuring all pieces are coated.
