Day 65 – heart ring

heartringDon’t tell anyone, but I just made this while sitting at my desk at work! Shhhh! But, it took me all of about 4 minutes, too. If you’ve seen any of these tutorials online for wire heart rings or bows, butterflies, etc, you’ll see that they take a little bit to get the hang of twisting the wire into the shape you want. But really once you’re there, it’s super easy and all it takes is about 4-5 inches of 18-20 gauge wire and your handy needle nose jewelry pliers. As with any skill, the more you practice the better you get. I tried to make a butterfly that looked more like something from a child’s nose. But I kept trying!
The heart is one of the simplest designs, so start there and gain some confidence first. Then, get creative and play with it!
