Who doesn’t like to curl up with a good book on a wintery day and spend hours escaping from the world? I love books! In fact, my first job as a 16 year old, was at the Public Library in Boulder, Colorado as a shelver. This is where I would sometimes hide in a corner with a handful of titles, skimming the summaries, looking fervently to see if I should check it out or not. And I hate to say it, but I was one of “those” people who checked out all the books by a certain author or under a certain call number. Sometimes, I’d leave with such a large stack, I’d be dropping them all the way out to the car.
Today I made some adorable and easy bookmarks to make my reading experience all the more fun! You know those dollar bins at Michael’s Craft Store by the front registers? Well, I grabbed some stacks of $1.00 greeting cards with pretty designs and cut out bookmarks and glued 2 sides together. I also had some left over beaded fringe that I glued at the bottom in between the sides. Pretty cute, huh?
